PRINT CONTINUES PROMOTING TREES! CHECK OUT THE LATEST STATS

Trees are grown as a crop. Much paper now comes from private, sustainable forests, where trees are grown as a crop. Print gives landowners a financial incentive to renew these forests rather than convert them for other uses.1 In fact, avoiding use of paper may result in significant loss of forest land in North America.2

Privately Owned. 91% of the wood harvested in the U.S. comes from privately owned forests.3

Constantly Replaced. An average of 5 million new trees are planted each day in the U.S., and the growth of U.S. forests exceeds the amount harvested by 33%.4

EXPLORE THE REASONS BEHIND WORKERS' DEFIANCE

Some insubordinate workers may simply be troublemakers, but others can have valid reasons for their negative behavior. Here’s what to do when workers become defiant:

  • Consider the source. Is this typical behavior or is this worker taking an unusual stand?
  • Check your attitude. Did you make a request or issue an order? Have you previously treated this worker unfairly? Have you provided context for the request or might it seem unreasonable?
  • Consult the employee. Don’t react until you’ve asked insubordinate employees to explain their viewpoint.
